Look: The Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science (ValMaSci) welcomes several officials from the Japan Foundation Manila (JFM) to undertake an evaluation with its school partners, including ValMaSci.

The school has a long standing connection with the JFM starting from its humble beginning as Valenzuela Science High School, with the participation of its esteemed faculty, including Mrs. Edna De Jesus, Mrs. Allen Ann Delica, and Ms. Jessa Venalon.

Among the highlights of the short program is the reminiscence of the school’s many successes in competing and participating in various events related to Japanese history and culture.

Among the participants who welcomed the visitors, headed by Councilor for the President of the JFM, Mr. Keisuke Otani were 20 select students from Grade 9 and 10 who were proficient in Nihongo.

Although the program was brief, the students were able to discuss various facets of Japanese culture with other members of the JFM including Assistant Director Yuiko Shigematsu, Japanese Language Education Adviser Ms. Aki Ito, Program Coordinators, Ms. Ayako Abe and Ms. Kelly Kathlene Ko, and program coordinator Mr. Kenneth King Ko, a ValMaSci alumnus.
