We stand tall and proud, united as one, marching on in a journey to improvement and enlightenment.
Just last week, Sorsogon DepEd officials and School principals alike came to the Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science campus. They also visited other campuses in Metro Manila — all to see what made them excel, with a special consideration given towards the results of last year's National Achievement Test.
Moves like this are truly praise-worthy, as these officials are willing further to improve themselves and our education system as a whole. Flaws in both our government and educational system are completely normal, but rarely do we see such an active attempt to truly improve.
Sorsogon may not have topped the NAT, but their attempts to improve and to better themselves is truly admirable.
They have come to ValMaSci, and other schools in the greater Manila Area for advice and guidance.
Sorsogon's visit also represents so much more. In a country marked by division, this move serves as a mark of improved unity and collaboration. It is a sign of changing times, and better relations.
Sorsogon visit stands as an inspiration for attainable progress for all communities within the Philippines. Let it be known that improvement is often easier and better when there are others standing beside them.
It is a representation of the fact that while this is a country of over seven thousand islands, at the end of the day, each and every single one is a part of the Philippines.
Seven thousand islands, hundreds of millions of citizens, and all hailing from the same nation. Divided, we fall, but to stand united is to stand tall.
